AhlulBayt News Agency: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly denounced recent comments made by the Israeli ambassador to the United States, who claimed that Israel possesses a biblical right to expand its occupation across the Middle East.
In a statement released Saturday, the OIC General Secretariat said that Huckabee’s remarks amount to an unacceptable call for the occupying power to seize additional Palestinian and Arab lands.
The statement added that the ambassador’s claims rely on false historical and ideological narratives that violate state sovereignty, diplomatic norms, international law, and UN resolutions.
The OIC reaffirmed its firm support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, especially their right to self‑determination and the establishment of an independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
In a recent interview with U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson, Huckabee defended Israel’s actions in Gaza and endorsed the idea that “divine providence” grants Israel control over the region.
He further argued that Israel has a biblical entitlement to land stretching from the Nile River to the Euphrates.
These remarks have sparked widespread condemnation from governments, leaders, and resistance movements across the region and beyond.
